This is a beautiful episode, I almost cried. So John’s being all chivalrous and takes Abigail into Blackwater to have their portrait taken which is a bit weird but also kinda fun. Then they go and take in a show, Sketching For Sweetheart, even though neither John nor the ticket taker nor we know what it’s about. Actually it’s pretty cool!
As the day’s closing and the sun’s setting they take a romantic walk down to the lake and borrow a boat to head out onto the water. John gets down on bended knee in the boat and proposes. Like I said, it’s beautiful. Abigail’s hands and nails are strangely perfect for the turn of the last century, and John elected to keep his gloves on, but there we go.
Then we get some really nice cutscenes and the sun comes up on another glorious day!
