I intended to go and speak to Captain Munro at the Wapiti Indian reservation in this episode, but on the way I stray into “legendary animal territory”, so naturally I get distracted into tracking and hunting this beast.
Turns out it’s the legendary elk, and I thought we’d already hunted that but apparently not. So we do the usual eagle eye and take a scoped rifle to take this thing down. I really wanted to get it with a single head shot, but I tried that and it took a rifle round to the back of the head and kept truckin’!
Anyway, we got it, of course. At least we can push on to Wapiti now, although I don’t really want to risk losing the elk pelt and would like to get it to a trapper, but that’s not efficient right now.
